“Let’s approach stealthily.”
“Stealth mode engaged!”
What are the odds that one or both of them leaps towards the man in the hat with fire blazing out the sides of their maws like a Mega Charizard X?
even without fire, getting pounced on by two teenage dragons is not fun…..for the perfect stranger who just happens to own the same hat as their uncle
In the airport, hunting scene
Wearing luggage; chocolate seen.
Searching upstairs; coming down
seeking out; beige crown.
Target sighted; hunting on
Stealth chances? All gone…
(Hope they’re not in error)
Tried as a 12 liner (each line being 2 words.) It wouldn’t allow it.
Diolch in any case, well done.
love it !
I know we’re only two pages in at this point, but the looks that the twins are getting, and the fact that there are no other hybrids in sight at the moment…I have to wonder if this will go well. It was easy to forget until now that Hybrid City is the exception rather than the rule.
…and I don’t expect a reply from Robin, certainly not, but am I the only one who’s concerned about how Sabrina is being outvoted, if not disregarded, every time she complains about something? Even if she is a therapist, all those little frustrations pile up after a while.
It’s not Hybrid City, but they go on holiday there every year, there are tons of Italian relatives and family’s friends that already know them, and it’s implied they are excited to go, so it’s surely not as bad as in their old city.
Back before they moved to hybrid city it was probably a huge relief to go viral the relatives in Italy. A whole month of not putting up with the people back in their old town.
Visit not viral! Darn autucorrupt!
Both fair points. I suppose I just thought there’d be more problems to be found in the airport in particular. But we’ll see how things are going soon enough.
Thanks for your replies.
Metal Gear Dragons: Tactical Airport Action
No obviously available cardboard boxes. A suitcase might be a possible alternative.
It’s a good thing Kai is physically strong enough to drag his sister away from the fancy chocolate shop, one of the few things that can distract the Dragon Unit from their mission. How did Kaya get underneath all that luggage? Was it just so she could pop out of it like a meerkat or prairie dog? Does she notice the duffle bag she’s wearing on her head? Is she practicing for swimming through her own future treasure hoard?
Noe that the Dragon Unit has re-synchronized their shared brain cells, they’ve potentially spotted their target. So far, “Uncle Emilio” has a good resemblance to their dad, tall, somewhat lanky, and what appears to be a similar head shape. Hopefully they don’t bump into any Mafioso with mystical psychic powers!
I’m eager and curious to see what stealth mode means for the twins, Kaya especially!
They start humming “mission impossible” theme?
Perhaps they turn invisible to radar? 😉
Kaya does her EEEEEEEEEEERE at a quarter volume so she’s not destroying eardrums as she approaches.
I expect them to be better at it than Sokka
Kai: Not now, sis.
Kaya: BUT ME WANT CHOCOLATE!
Kai: We’re on a mission right now. Focus!
Luggage hat: searching for target.
Beige hat: target acquired.
“Londt”. Heh.
Stealth Mode is probably not recomended when your target is surrounded by strangers. I once hugged my grandmother from behind in Grand Central Station, NYC. It nearly gave her a heart attack!
According to stories I’ve heard way too often, when I was very little, I did something very similar, except I did not nearly give my grandparent a heart attack. I hope the person who wasn’t my grandparent was also fine…
I can’t help but imagine someone looking at them peering over the edge of the… escalator? Baggage thing? Just a dividing wall? The whatever, and starting to get, “Who let the dragons out! Who! Who! Who! Who! Who! Who let the dragons out! Who! Who! Who! Who! Who!” stuck in their head.
My interpretation is that they’re peering over the backrest of a bench for travellers to sit on while waiting for their plane.
I’ve got a strong feeling people here aren’t as used to seeing Hybrids as in the US, though being Italian colors might help.
Not the US (it had been said that hybrid births had been a worldwide event) but specifically Hybrid City. They were the only two in their old town.
