Kai solves it way quicker than our lion-wolf was expecting.

The amazing truth of all new things
is that they’re other people’s toys;
the most unsolvable puzzles
are just fun for some girls and boys.
He can’t beat Rex but khan he can
and he’ll rise up to the temple
and, in the world of his mad dreams,
it’ll be complex but simple.
Rising up to the new challenge,
with lovely Lilo at his side.
Can Sir Kai overcome the ‘foe’
or take quite a dent to his pride?
I’ll take being the second comment-Also-JESUS CHRIST how dumb high is Kai’s IQ holy God I can only do one side!!
Re-read Kai’s lines in the last panel and you will have a clue how he did it. 😉
Once you know the tricks, they become easy :p
What remains unclear, is whether Kai is actually this good “IRL”, or did he just “dream” his solution?
#Only_The_Author_Knows … 😉 … 🙂 … 😛 … 😀
Never second guess dragons, for they are gods.
I kinda like how Rex (Khan? I forgot already) has his back turned and his eyes closed as he’s monologuing. He’s full of confidence, isn’t he? HOW?! lol
I wonder if anyone had noticed if Robin had slipped an ‘L’ onto the end of Khan’s “HOOOOOOOW?” 🙂
Dangit. “I wonder if anyone WOULD HAVE noticed…”
He is a wolf so it makes sense. Idk if that was on purpose or accident.
Yes, dragons are gods xD
I like that you actually kept the whole color pattern consistent on both sides between panels one and two. And for some reason I find Kai’s “happily concentrating” face hilarious.
(Typo, though: in panel three, the “it’s” should be “its.” As written, it says “…attempt to grasp it is very nature.”)
Yup, missed that correction :p
and yeah, I like to keep little things like that consistent ^^
Fifth panel : Khan is close to the heart attack ^_^”
I begin to find Rex really sexy with a mane . What if he changes his hairs for it , later in the comic ? ^_^
hmm, a mane as a hairstyle? Would be cool :p
Might actually be kinda cool; but, I don’t see it as being very “in-character” for Rex.
Kai’s childish tongue-out concentration on his cube is fantastic!
Thanks 😀
Does Kai actually have a Rubik’s Cube in the waking world, or is he just being a braggart to mock Khan for his pompousness? Either way, I’ve never been able to complete one of these things, so I share Khan’s impressedness.
Kai has solved a Rubik’s Cube before. He knows the algorithm :p
I can see it now:
“Made by the Gods? Nah, they are made by Rubix”
“Your God’s name is Rubix?”
“Rubik, actually…”
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ernő_Rubik
Poor Khan :p
Next page: Khan drops it down the stairs and it shatters and he gets struck by lightning for dropping and breaking an artifact made by the gods.
If he drops the cube down the stairs, it needs to become a Slinky.

divine punishment xD
How is the cube in the 3rd panel turning 2 ways at the same time?
It’s to show how Kai is speedy to resolve it ^_^
You do recall this is Kai’s dream, right?
And you’re not also asking how Kai has 4 hands at the same time?
That’s less important lol
It’s just going really fast :p
Kai is lucky, I cannot able to solve it neither in my dream, even though I am Hungarian. 🙁 Anyway, I hope I could meet Rubik Ernő in real life 😀
“The only people who can solve Rubik’s Cubes are kids and loonies. Kids take ten minutes – loonies, seven seconds.”
–Jasper Carrott (UK comedian). (Apologies if this is unPC, but it’s from the late 80s.)
fun fact: we had one of those in my kindergarten group, and it took us forever to solve – probably because we´re all working against one another LOL – however when we finally managed it we were TOTALLY DISAPOINTED because nothing happened. us kids thought it was some fancy locking mechanism, hiding something epic inside *sniff*
Sounds like you guys had this puzzle confused with the “Lemarchand Configuration”:

Should have kept your eyes on him Khan, might have learned something! Well back to the real challenge: the next flight of stairs!
Kai: ….. Maybe I should have taken a bit longer on the cube. Sorry legs!
I started thinking he was swapping the stickers, which some people do to solve it.
Every single one of Khan’s expressions from the entire bottom half of this week’s strip is priceless. They made me laugh so hard. Bit more of a serious note though this week. I read about what’s going on in the Discord server Robin, and I wish only the best of luck for you moving forwards. I’m sure I speak for everyone here when I say that we appreciate the work you put in to continue putting out weekly panels even during this time. Don’t overwork yourself! Artists are people too, and if you need to slow down for a little while then it’s best that you look out for your own mental health. You have the support and understanding of your fans. You’re an amazing artist, and I enjoy seeing all of your new works. They never cease to surprise and amaze me. As always, stay awesome!
The cube or rubix. Very dangerous, clearly not playing it safe.
They are both next level kind of guys.
hah reminds me of a set of silly comics where a bunch of different characters try to solve the infernal thing, and most of them give up or restore to shall we say “unique” methods for doing so. I don’t want to spam with trying to get all the images so here’s a video that gives a taste of what I mean: https://youtu.be/i_tiQ8iI0Wg
David Letterman once had a guest for the “Stupid Human Tricks”-segment of his show, who could manipulate a miniature 3x3x3_Rubik’s_Cube by SWALLOWING it, then quarter-turning a side, then regurgitating it!!!?!
[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oDEIYflt6IA] … at about [4:50]-or-so, but the whole [6:55] is amazing!
A bit more recent is this Rubik’s-Juggler:
[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q6AsllXpKBU] … solving 3 cubes at once!
That David Letterman was certainly something, I have to imagine that you couldn’t do that sort of act anymore with all the “modern safety standards” and that juggler…I certainly couldn’t do it…if you’ll excuse me I need to reattach my bottom jaw.
Kai’s brain comes up with some interesting scenarios
REM-brain is best brain!
i HAVEN’T SEEN THIS WITH A 4X4 CUBE, BUT i SAW A GUY SOLVE 3 of the regular kind while under water, holding his breath.
Another commenter said that the 4×4 kind is easier.

An old clip but easily the fastest rubix cube solving.
Penn and Teller
Any bets on whether the goddess is his sister. And whether the others will remember this dream?
So many. OH SO many
Kaya being the goddess would certainly be a likely choice, although I’m hoping that it’s Katsumi instead.
As for the others remembering the dream, I have a hunch that the others aren’t actually having this dream, and that instead it’s a bunch of roles that got filled from the personalities that Kai knows. (Especially since this dream appears to be happening during the school day, when it’s unlikely that the others are asleep.) That said, if Jin is encountered, he might actually be having this dream as well, particularly if Katsumi is involved.
You are right, the others should be at school.
The CAST page does not mention Katsumi – don’t remember that name.
Katsumi is Jin’s invisible friend. “Apparently” she actually exists, but no one has ever detected her presence.
Since Kai doesn’t know what Kasumi looks like, that would be odd, this being a dream.

Having trouble posting.
Found it – not in comic, but in artist’s comments.
Cast page needs to be updated. Many authors make one, and than fail to update it to include new characters.
And upon solving it, there’s a mournful bell sound, everything gets darker, and Doug Bradley enters the dream…
