Press the attack
Kaya is a firm believer in the quote “Yeet or get yeeted”, which probably was said by Sun Tzu, I guess.

River flows to his right
as Ami takes the left.
Will he escape unscathed
and she be left bereft?
She’s targetted by Kaya
and the lady is incoming.
You can see the rising panic;
you can hear the heart drumming.
Where is Kai, the noble knight?
Is he going after the flood?
At least, unlike Amy’s foe,
he’s not quite out for blood…
Not quite out for blood? That’s yet to be proven.
All I can suggest is those thieves keep movin’.
Kaya’s a menace as she hunts her quarry
Who may have misjudged dragons’ lust for glory
If they too must fear a basketball player
Role reversal here: the dragon’s the slayer
…not trying to start a duel, but it became a stanza. Though, we could turn this into a rhyme extravaganza…
Anyway, stellar as always, Robin, and looking forward to what comes next.
…Huh. Kaya’s shotgun approach just straight WORKED. Color me surprised.
When I saw this, I can’t help but think of the doom music kicking in
Just remember, Amy, it could be worse. There could have been OOBLECK in those balloons!
The dragons’ got super speed.
Run Amy, Kaya’s got that look in her eyes!
KAYA: Omae wa mou shindeiru!
No escaping from Kaya! Guess Amy’s luck doesn’t hold against a fired up dragon (unless Kaya somehow misses at point blank range)!
I doubt that “yeet” was a word back in Sun Tzu’s day…
The Crimson Knaves aren’t getting out of this one unscathed (or rather, unsoaked). Their familiar got taken out in one shot, and, unfortunately for Amy, the twins consider her and River Moon-Moon to be part of the boss fight (or at least Kaya). Looks like we’ll hear what a bunny’s scream sounds like. Interesting fact about the word “Doom,” it originally was a term for a person’s fate, such as meeting their doom meant meeting their fate. It was used for more ominous circumstances, so it ended up used as a synonym for meeting your death or your end.
Sun Tzu was writing in Classical Chinese. Obviously, “Yeet or get yeeted” is translation to modern English.
Looks like Amy’s going to pay the price for taking her eyes off the threat! This makes me think of the late George Carlin.
“It’s the quiet ones you gotta watch.”
“That sounds like a very dangerous assumption. I’ll bet you anything that while you’re watching the quiet one, the noisy one will @#$%ing kill you.”
“She’s behind me, isn’t she?”
“Nope! I was behind you, now I’m next to you and now I’m in front of you!”
Tsk, tsk, you just HAD to say that huh…
Clever girl…
Spoke too soon there, Amy. 😅
Hmmm, interesting. I expected the water balloons to be much more scattered since Kai didn’t brace the slingshot properly against his shoulder. Guess we can put this down to Mythical Class Hybrid’s significantly enhanced strength…
…And now Amy is probably about to discover how it feels to have that strength deliver a water balloon at basically point blank range. Lucky her…
When it comes to Kaya, when you play the villain, you best prepare to be struck by something.
And no matter your status there’s always the risk of a flying Kaya Glomp.
Hmm.
Looks like they got screwed.
Proper screwed.
By ze Germans…..er……dragons.
All I hear in last panel is the instant transition from DBZ.
YES!! Instant Transmission! Followed by rapid fire blasting…
Or would that be rapid water blasting…?
YES! One very wet bunny coming up.
With a side of wet Moon-Moon puppy!
Do wet bunnies smell better than wet dogs? 🙂
A few panels later, and the dragons are opening their presents.
Kaya: This one is from Mom. It’s some towels and a throw.
Ami: Gimme that! I need it. [ Grabs a towel from Kaya and continues trying to dry off ]
surpised you did not go with they fired every single one a once and NON hit there mark gag.
Robin is KNOWN for not doing what you expect. 🙂
Well, it hasn’t fallen over yet, so a second volley might be needed.
I love Amy’s change of expression between the last two panels. 🙂
Maybe it’ll whizz through her ears?
…and hit River?
You lot missed a second option for Amy’s luck – after the attack, she would get wet clothes. And there is a noble Wolf hybrid, who might give up on his own shirt to cover up her… Which would be definitely a ‘win’ for her.
Can’t miss what hasn’t had a chance to happen yet. Amy has yet to get wet!
And so Kaya became the first hybrid civilian to violate the Geneva Convention ban on cluster munitions.
