If I was in that car while the pokening was happening my emotional state could probably best be described as “Nervous sweating”
Seriously though what’d happen if either of them sneezed while in the car
I’m sure they have an emergency protocol for that xD
Simple, Open window and sneeze out it. Just mind the trees.
Imagine standing by the side of the road, seeing a car driving down the road, when it suddenly opens one of it’s windows and a bunch of fire just comes spewing out…
That’d certainly be an experience
Ah, man. I really needed that laugh. Thanks for that.
POKE BATTLE!!! With a documentary/commentary, even.
Glad to be providing laughter ^^
I love how you’re not even giving US, the READERS, a hint as to where they’re going; we are as blind to their surroundings as the twins are. Can’t even see out the back window.
(Yes, I know they’re probably going to Cleo’s place, but it’s still a nice touch.)
Thank you 😀
I try to use little touches like that when I can ^^
Explain this when the cop pulls you over
for having flames flicking in the back seat..
Blindfolded but not restrained, the kids are wild,
and the explanation will be truly one to beat.
On the road with the Dragon Darlings,
leading them on towards a special secret.
They’re reacting just as ‘little’ kids will
and the parents ponder handcuffs with regret.
The road trip’s a long drawn out one
(Cleo had extra time to plan the bash?)
When they get there, one thing’s clear…
It’s going to be quite the present dash.
Dragon Darlings
Great one 😀
Nice to see you ‘back’, Robin.
Thank you. I’m trying to spend some time after uploading following up on comments. There are so many comments lately, that I can’t get to all of them, but I will do some cherry picking. I do read them all, every week, though xD
Flames in the backseat – but of course. They have two pokers. They need a fire to poke.
ROBIN STOP MAKING SUCH CUTE COMICS I CAN’T HANDLE THE ADORABLE
I will keep making them and you will handle them xD
Is that even physically possible?
i love how utterly unflapable mom+dad are….though i shudder to think how many catastrophes were necessary to reach that amount of inner peace.
The first few years were worthy of their own series xD
Now you must draw that series. 😉 Twin Toddlers from Hell.
I doubt they were little demons. They probably were little balls of green and red sunshine who didn’t know their own strength and why the world was so fragile. Especially Kaya, she was probably so energetic, no crib could hold her for long.
OH! Now you are making me curious to see the twins in their first years. And all the chaos of dealing with infants who can breath fire.
Yes.
YES THEY ARE.
*hinthinthint*
Classic car behavior! Love Marco’s narration at the end!
Now I’m getting the feeling Marco is going to narrate the entire ordeal until it’s time to take the blindfolds off, what would make it funnier is if mom was recording everything on a camera designed for all that.
[ATTENBOROUGH] And here we see the young Dragons defending their territory in a vicious battle. Though they cannot see each other due to current circumstances, their poke based strikes nevertheless continuessly finding the enemy. Rather than taking the time to confirm their opponent’s location, if anything the speed of their attacks increases as the battle rages on…
[/ATTENBOROUGH]
OK, Daniel the Human helped me out with some of that, but it was my idea…
“Begun, the Poke Wars have.”
Turtles engage in claw wrestling, Dragons engage in poke wrestling/poke battles. Good thing Kai and Kaya trimmed their talons! Something tells me this may escalate to the point of tickling, which leads to Kai’s reflexive actions against being tickled. This comic is always a delight to read, I look forward to it every week!
Kai: “ATATATATATATATATATATA!”
Kaya: “ATATATATATATATATATATA!”
Kai and Kaya: “ATATATATATATATATATATATATATA! You are already poked!”
[Kai and Kaya start swelling up. Marco and Sabrina look in the rearview mirror and exchange looks of dread.]
Sabrina and Marco: “Uh oh.”
[Ppffffff]
[As the car comes up to a red light, a fiery explosion bursts out the opening windows. The Romeros are lightly charred and covered with ash. Kai and Kaya (still blindfolded) are shrunken into chibi mode and looking a little chubby.]
Kai and Kaya: “Hahahahahaha!”
Bonus points to those who get the reference. Ironically, Jin may not get the reference; probably because his parents say he’s too young to watch it since he’s their little baby Komainu.
Zoom out and they are driving a Bank armored car simply cause its the only thing the twins wouldn’t immidietly destroy by accident
You make a good point.
Probably has an onboard fire suppression system too.
They can poke, but they’re not allowed to peek.
Should of just sedated them, …
A high stakes poker game.
Our pair of aces have upped the ante, and in the last panel there are four poker hands in play.
Does Cleo hold the wild card? 🙂
Infinite Poke Works (as opposed to Infinite Blade Works)
I like the fifth panel where Kaya turns into E. Honda.
Their dad is more goofy and enthusiastic as my dad! And that’s saying something…
Comic Filler: What game is that?
a rules-adjusted version of Catacombs & Drakes for spy stories :p
Actual dialogue from car trip to grandparents house:
Me to younger sister, while faking pokes at her: “I’m not touching you!”
Younger sister: “Mom! [reynard61]’s not touching me!”
Mom: “[reynard61]! Stop not touching your sister!”
Yes, even I could be a bit of a brat when I was young… 😏
“Even” you? *poke-poke!* 🙂
Robin! Iron Ed’s poking me!
Car? When you were young? Horse drawn carriage, surely? Pokes Ed. Hides
Well; I suppose I did give Herr Daimler and Herr Benz a -few- hints… 😉
I was born in 1961, not 1861. 🙄 (Although, now that I think about it, cars made the year that I was born *are* considered “Antique” and are pretty valuable if kept in good running condition… 😏 )
I would just like to say as a twin myself this is quite accurate.
The Romero twins are Poke-mons.
