Pretty sure Cleo would have noticed the note even without the obvious, er. flourish.
Not much escapes her . 🙂
Not funny to not scream , but it’s better than to be barked on by Misha ^_^”
It’s no fun to whisper when playing,
girding your mettle against the clan.
It seems he found a way out of it;
dropping a clue’s surely his plan?
Drag Mischa from her place of toil;
someone relieve her of her duty.
Remind her it’s not all work and gloom;
I’ll bet her smile is quite a beauty.
A note’s the clue to the final place,
where Kai’s probably going as well.
The destiny’s written in the stars
and Dragon Knights raise the fires of hell…
The knight dropped a hint (not loot Kaya – he’s still alive). I don’t think it has anything to do with the Ryuji book – they just had to find the poster to meet the knight there.
@Robin: the next button on the previous page is broken.
Literally dropped a hint. 🙂
The “Next” link works for me.
Apparently got fixed (or magically fixed itself)
That “magically fixed itself” isn’t that unlikely. Could’ve been cache.
Is it just me or does the knight look way younger in the oupsie-panel?
Now that you mention it, yes he does. His head is proportionally much larger in that panel.
I suspect that’s intentional. It works well with “Oh, oopsie! I dropped a clue. Run awaayy!”
And his expression in the “oopsie” panel is rather cute too. 🙂
He follows the quietness rule so well that even Kaya’s big ears can’t make out what he says.
So annoying when you can’t do things the way you want to! XD Wonder what the clue is on that piece of paper he “accidentally” dropped?
Yeah, it’s not as fun if you can’t be loud and dramatic.
That’s why you pick your locations carefully… 😉
Blame Astrid.
Well, Kaya is easily excited. River is probably the best/nicest villain she’s met so far (probably because he’s acting), Larissa and the people from her old town are just foul. Kaya probably needs to clean out her enormous ears if she can’t hear the tall yet younger puppy. Meanwhile, Nate and (mostly) Cleo are unimpressed with the theatrics. Cleo needs more whimsy in her diet.
I just noticed this via autocorrect: River is just one vowel away from being named “Rover.”
How come no person is ever named that or Fido, but Rex is fair game?
His name is “Rex Ruthor”–sound kinda familiar? When we first meet him, and until we get to know him, he comes across as somewhat of a villain instead of the nice guy he actually is.
And, besides there are regular human guys out there named (or nicknamed) “Rex”.
Rex means king. Rover means wanderer. Fido means trustworthy companion.
Calling your child a king sounds ambitious. Kids seem to wander enough with making it their actual name, so that is no for humans. Fido sounds like something to aspire to, but it seems to match “Man’s best friend” more.
The clincher for Fido was that Abraham Lincoln named one of his dogs Fido while in Illinois; his wife insisted that the dog be left behind with a friend when they moved to Washington. The Lincoln family returned to Illinois after Abraham’s murder and during a commemorative event at the Lincoln home (with a bunch of the press and well-wishers), the friend brought the dog back and he was a hit with those gathered. Fido has been a dog’s name ever since.
Dragons.
Loot.
DRAGONS.
LOOT.
And off he goes to let Astrid know to never plan something like this in a library ever again.
@Robin… Did you change something? Perhaps with the lining? Something seems somehow different… Perhaps it’s just all the bare walls. Really fits panel seven though. 🙂
“How do you keep a dragon busy for hours? See the other side of this note.”
