Last week Kaya caring for her brother was the source of cuteness, and now this week we get the heartwarming scene of a mother’s love combined with the cuteness of Kai with his dragon plushie. You’re going to create a singularity at this rate Robin. xD This page genuinely brought tears to my eyes from the nostalgia of remembering my mom taking care of my brother and I when we were little. Now I’m in college and my brother close behind. You did a great job conveying the emotional impact of this scene, Robin. You’re an expert artist. Keep up the good work. And as always, stay awesome.

They got the plushies when they were little kids and it survived up to now. It will survive forever ^^
I wonder why Kai is lying in the sofa instead of his own bed. Maybe he started his day by sneezing fire to the bed?
because lying in bed gets boring realy fast, on the sofa you can watch crappy tv to distract yourself from your misery 😉
There’s another factor too. Look back at the last couple comics. Fire extinguisher at the end of the couch and the floor is tiled (hopefully ceramic). So if one of Kai’s sneezes were to accidentally set something on fire they can deal with it quickly and there’s less of a chance of it spreading quickly. Although the couch does appear to be right next to the wall which might be an issue. They should probably slide it out about a foot, maybe a little more. Also Kai being in the living area means one of his parents can respond quicker if they need to because odds are better one of them will be closer than if Kai were in his room.
Modern couches need fire resistance now as a safety standard. His organic napalm would still burn it but would take more time and heat for the fire to take hold. A dry fire sneeze should be fine though. It’s not like they get made from wool or paper.
They probably keep an old one for this rather than the normal couch. Charity shops could be useful if they go through a few.
I took from my own experience. When I was sick at his age, I never stayed in bed. Rather, I stayed in the sofa and watched TV. I had some favourite movies that I liked to watch ^^
I see. I’ve always been more into books, so I’d lie in bed and read.
He may not need his dragon plush, but it’s still very welcome.

I still own two of the plushies I had as a kid. I kept my My Pet Monster until about 3 years ago when he finally fell apart. Lost the chains a long time ago, though.
