If I had to take a guess, the iris of Kaya’s left eye in the third panel in nestled at the very edge of her eye. Due to the perspective and drawing style (the artist doesn’t draw black lines at the nose-edge of the eyes) in tandem with that “shine” effect (you can see it in her right eye in panel 2 as well) it looks like the iris is poking just slightly outside of the eye; giving the impression it’s popping out.
Looked completely normal to me until y’all said something. 🙂 Even then I had to actually -look- for it.
I guess it’s like Blue_Elite said. I personally don’t see the eyes popping out of her head, but I do notice that I didn’t draw them as well as I normally do. I need to ‘keep en eye’ on that xD
Rest assured I had to REALLY go out of my way to come up with that theory.

Last week I put in this comment:
“I’m going for Cleo arranges for a private basketball instructor for Kai, promptly followed by Kaya getting annoyed at her for doing so.”
Apparently I was half right… but I’m rather surprised that Cleo doesn’t seem to have hired someone to who knows what they’re doing to teach Kai.
To be honest, I don’T see how this helps really. I mean, okay, they rented a dedicated space. Is it really that hard to find a decent hoop?

Is there supposed to be a vote incentive for Twin Dragons on TWC? After voting, it just returned me to today’s comic, so I don’t know if my vote took or not.
Suggestion, if you need a quick idea for an incentive, this month: scan a large from the sketchbook you use for developing characters and ideas for the comic.

It may take TWC 24 hours to do it your edits and updates; I just voted again, and it took me to Thank You / Incentive page, which it didn’t do yesterday. I didn’t see the incentive sketch, but I’ll check again, tomorrow. C’est cool, Robin; we’ll get it hammered out.
BTW, I don’t know if you actively choose the ads you let through from Project Wonderful, but I wanted to thank you for the link to Replay webcomic; I followed it from your site, yesterday, and I’ve found the comic to be an excellent one! You might touch base with Nothing Important and see if she’ll send some traffic your way, too.
Incentive sorry still isn’t showing up on the Thank You / Incentive page of TWC. Do they have an email contact for site support that you can use to ask for some guidelines on how to troubleshoot that feature?

As I write this, Twin Dragons is sitting at Rank #20 with 200 votes cast. It won’t stay there, because some of the comics at this level typically get 700 to 800 votes per day. However, a constant average of 100 votes per day should keep it comfortably in the Top 100.
More is always better, but actual location in the Top 100 is less important than just getting somewhere on it, since most people who log on look at all 100 comics on the page. This is tens of thousands of people per day, and some are bound to start reading–and possibly voting and commenting as well, which will raise the ranking even more.
Keep voting–every day. 🙂

The position is indeed not that important as long as you get in the top 100. Unless you’re in the top 10 or so, that puts you at the center of the page when it loads. But then there are comics like Two Kinds to compete with, and I’m afraid Twin Dragons isn’t ready yet to compete with those :p

Thanks for figuring this out Nach. I thought about something like this since there are two incentives, a regular and a bonus incentive. The bonus one is for voters it seems, and the other one is the one you found. I uploaded to both in hopes of getting it right, but to no avail, it doesn’t show up after voting yet. Maybe it has something to do with the image size. I’ll try experimenting some more. Thanks 😀

I love the last Panel, I really like how assertive Cleo has become now that she has a chance. Though I’m sure she’s still getting used to how strong these two are.
