The way to see what friends you’ve got
isn’t when you have, but when you’ve not
Relating tales of the not too distant past
when memories were easy and made to last
Hey, is that a young me running past?
Look at that kid, he’s going really fast.
The dumb girls three are lurking around
watching for people they’re gonna pound.
They seemed to accept her without the gift
They soon give that truth the very short shrift…

Lil Cleo is so cute. She’s lucky that Kaya has a much lower… or higher? Standard for friendship I.e she looks cool, I think I’ll be friends with her.
It might be a lower standard for choosing, but she has a much higher standard for maintaining a friendship.
I think she’s sort of instinctive about most things she does. She had a feeling Cleo was a decent person who would make a nice friend, and she acted on it even when all conscious signs pointed to it being a bad idea.
If she genuinely had low standards in friends, she might have started to internalize some of the bigotry she faced in the hopes of earning approval or at least tolerance, but she and her brother seem to have only gotten more stubborn in not changing who they are because of what people say about them.
Small snake is cute also Dora is an ass for not staying friends when the candy stopped

Oh my gosh, lil Cleo is so cute! I’d befriend her without looking back, because it’s not the money, it’s about the friendship!
