Well … OK for the arrows in Rex’s shield but what about Kaya’s mage-pole ? Who is enough “dumb” to arrow a pole in such situation ? ^_^”
I bet this guy is a builder and will hire the team to destroy some houses , to give job for him XD
Then i agree to Rex’s words in the second panel . Maybe he should meet my friend gnoll to speak about ? ^_^
It says something of Kaya’s ability to block arrows with her staff xD
Kaya rolls a 20 only to blast , Kai . Matching with Rex in the last panel : now , Kaya is officially nicknamed “Demolition girl” 8D
http://www.gamerdragons.com/comic/fallout-bay/
Not a bad nickname to have for her xD
I like the sound of “Demolition Dame”.
I like it.
-Condition safisfied. Dragon mage Kaya acquired the titel ‘Demolition girl’
-Aquired skills [Explosion LV 1] [Explosion Resistance LV1] [Fire Resistance LV1]
-Bonus skills have been integrated into already existing skill
-Proficiency has reached the required level
-Skill [Explosion LV1] has become [Explosion LV2]
-Skill [Fire Resistance LV5] (Race Skill) has become [Fire Resistance LV6]
Yeah, I know D&D works different but I could not resist.
On first try most of what I wrote vanished. Previous post can be deleted.
Deleted it.
I like those description! I originally wanted to put a joke in about Kaya being a fire mage AND a dragon, so fire doesn’t hurt her one bit, but it got scrapped because the chapter was getting way too long xD
Might make it as an extra :p
Thank you. I’m glad you like it.
The description is loosely based on the book ‘So I’m a spider, so what?’. In this book a group of pupils from our world is killed in a magical explosion and then rebornd scattered over a fantasy world. Most are reborn as humoid races (e.g. humans or elves) but one becomes a dragon and the main heroine becomes a three feet tall monster spider (hence the title).
As long as it’s -fun-, I’m not sure a chapter -can- get too long. 🙂
Weeeeeell, it is little distracting if you need to move to different solar system while reading the chapter because the first solar system’s sun goes out.
I mean, it IS a very appropriate nickname
Yeah, it kinda is xD
Who is Rex, to know her so well?
Judging her skills and ways
beyond the old house that fell?
He sees the games she plays?
He’s happy in her company,
stretching the Paladin code.
His Hammer struck down many
but they never got what’s owed.
A guy approaches from the bushes,
seeking their ‘help’ with stuff;
scaring them onto their tushes
and offering no reward to boot.
*thumb up*
You are a bard my good sir
Great poem again ^^
Ta. I have the feeling Rex is making connections with Kayas’ freedom of spirit.
SWEET! IT’S OUT!! Thanks for the advice Robin!! I can’t believe that you actually responded! Thanks so much!!
No problem. I try to respond to all comments ^^
Anyone else think he looks like Quirrell?
“Professor” Quirrell! 🙂
He certainly has no second face to hide under that turban.
I’m serious, he hasn’t xD
i kind of have a bad feeling about him…..he doesnt look like a guy we can trust, i mean he came out of nowhere…..I dont trust him
Technically he came out of the bushes, but you’re right, he doesn’t seem all that trustworthy :p
Ftreet swooty jikul moctock dtyreul hokjtr sooghn kioluyte hoort the yoyger
Uhm, is that you native language? I have no idea what you just wrote :p
No where I come from has a lot more lobster, sailors, and lighthouses
Ps I made up all those words so sorry if you tried to decipher my gibberish
I spent too long on it…
I’m addicted to jesse’s comic.
Those expressions and ear movements… I can only imagine the hundreds of hours you’ve spent drawing to get to that level.
If only i had the time to do something productive… But i’m too busy replaying for a 4th time Papers, please.
Good, make sure to vote to see the latest page everyday ^^
I’m glad Jesse’s comic is doing well. It was a total experiment and I had no idea if it would work out or not. It’s most definitely going to be a great side story for the Twin Dragons universe.
Many hours have gone into learning how to draw. I’m the first to say that anyone could learn it, but the time commitment that’s needed holds a lot of people back.
Not suspicious at all mystery guy.
Seriously though, always act suspicious of people who start off kissing up to you.
Isn’t it common sense to ambush new adventurers to ask them for help? xD
“Ambush,” I see what you did there. 😉
These days you get the attention of adventurers by holding a big exclamation mark over your head. It draws them like moths to a flame. You can even sit/stand in the same spot ALL DAY without moving an inch and still get their attention.
Well, I got here late to the party. Most of the good comments have already been taken about both Kaya’s “Michael Bay Complex” and creepy bush guy. So I’ll just say this: Keep it up, Robin. This comic always gives me something to smile about on Mondays. You’re an amazing artist, and a great friend to your community. I look forwards to continuing this journey. Stay awesome.
Thanks Alpha ^^ I’m glad I can brighten up your mondays.
Good thing Kaya didn’t instantly Michael Bay creepy McBush Guy :p
Dunno.. The party might be safer if Kaya -had- Michael-Bayed creepy bush guy.
Would have seriously shortened their adventure though! 😉
Canonical name: “Creeps McBushgy”. Seems about right.
Love everything about the last panel! 🙂 🙂 🙂
That stranger is rubbing it on a bit thick, isn’t he? But, apparently most of the party is newbie enough to not notice that, suspicious, little detail.
Thanks ^^
Benji is totally teaching them a life lesson here (for roleplaying campaigns anyway)
He looks like a “legitimate businessman.” I’m sure whatever “legitimate business” he has going is not at all illegal in the sense that it’s not a crime if you don’t get caught.
He even went to shady business school and got his degree xD
That’s where he learned to hang out in the Shady Woods & Bushes. 🙂
I have the suspicion he is going to con them into “Good Deeds” in the name of totally not a evil cult/sorcerer/guild or someone just bent on taking over the city with his new “good” adventuring party payed well of course…
Good deeds are always a good thing, right? xD
If it’s not illegal, immoral or fattening, why bother.
If possible go for all 3.
Well, I’m sure the girls don’t want to fatten up, they want to keep their figure xD
This has always been one of those interesting moral issues in role playing.
The group contains a paladin or cleric of a law / justice god.
They are approached by a village to wipe out a tribe of sentient creatures that are near said village.
The creatures are so weak that eating spicy food and breathing heavily on them will kill them.
They have not done anything yet to threaten the village.
Can the paladin or cleric justify attacking the tribe, as they have not yet done anything hostile?
That depends, how many gold coins are you offering to Cleo? :p
If is within the laws of the town that said tribe are commiting some sort of harm (wether they are or not)
They then would fall into the realm of the paladins lawfulness. Regardless or moral of a law to other lands paladins follow the law of the land, if killing and thievery is legal by citizens only then any citizen may do this with no legal repercussions in the eyes of the paladin and even with a Justice god his lawful nature would bind him to the laws (though he may try legal means to change laws in future he or she deems unjust)
Time to count the reward
Chase the rats out of the town : 30 XPs to Kaya
Destroy an house : 200 XPs to Kaya
XD
wow, houses are so much more efficient to level up. They take the same amount of effort (for Kaya) xD
Oh, and don’t forget escaping from an angry mob, that’s at least another 50 xp for the group.
*giggles* Don’t forget that the house is furnished and with several materials : bricks , tiles , glass , wood . All this make a lot of XPs
XD
It makes for a long list of things to get XP from, that’s for sure xD
Bet that Kaya is ready to burst/michael-bay everything able to give even the lesser XP to her 8D
I like that Rex’s weapon is smoking. 🙂
He’s been using it a lot :p
Now I guess we’ll have to see how adaptable Benji is. The campaign rarely survives first contact with the players.
I remember many years ago.
We used to play test the scenarios for the GM, who ran the Traveller competition at GenCon UK.
Miners had completely blockaded a mining space station, over a legitimate grievance with the only corporate bank that was on the station.
He thought he had covered of every possible option that a well-armed mercenary unit could use, to make a very important delivery, to the station.
Except the obvious one (well obvious to us).
Going over completely unarmed, in basic space suits and talking to them.
We managed to completely bugger all his plans.
Traveller…isn’t that the game where you can die during character creation?
Don’t you just love random character encounters?
