Kaya might vaporize the boulder rather than break it off of the roof
But she would have kept her word :p
Panel 2: Judging by that “Get the healer”, I’d say the zombies aren’t completely mindless.
And still able to speak ^_^
yeah, surviving instinct kicks in :p

Are you pasting this here so more people make a suggestion for Jesse’s adventure?
No, it was just the first thing that came to mind so I could do it. I actually expected you to delete it.
Now the hot heads plan together
to bring victory from the defeated.
Winning after Cleo won the game
so the game can be completed.
Nothing beats the boulder play
bringing it down on his head.
Kaya knows he can’t come back
especially if he’s actually dead.
Will they warn the others in time
or remain quiet like a Clam?
Will the others have to respawn
after half the cavern goes BLAM?
hmm, I wonder if it’s really half the cavern that goes blam :p
Minor errors make Rex less perfect. People like imperfections in their heroes.
Uh, Rex, you may want to make a roll for language. Hint. Success has three s’s
Haha, I made a mistake xD
(some people find it funny how ‘Rex’ misspelled it, so I might keep it like that for that reason :p )
D’oh. Replied to the wrong reply!
I’m not perfect either(!)

no!! rex kyla dont you think about it . cleo has you coverd
Just because the player is used to paying her way out of trouble does not mean her character can. These adventurers are pretty much broke after paying for the house Kaya blew up/burned down. Where is Cloe’s character going to come up with the cash to bribe the big bad?
But, they can’t just sit back and relax, right? They need to do something! xD
OMG , Cleo : are you really trying it ? We’re not in your world where you’re a rich girl ^_^
Boulder on the head : that was one of the possibilities i was thinking since the previous strip (promised) . Why there is always or often a boulder above the villain ? Or a campfire near , when one of the heroes has “miraculously” a bottle of oil (or any flammable liquid) on him ? Etc , etc XD
But if Kaya doesn’t see what boulder is in Rex’s plan …………….. I’m lightly afraid for the next strip ^_^”
Well, those conveniently placed items are there for the same reason a video game has conveniently placed exploding barrels all over a city or something xD
Be glad, Kaya asked which boulder it is. She could have just decided for herself which one it was xD
Half-Life, is that you?
ok im wondering if they are using themselves for the race stats or are they using base human stats. Because if soo both twins can still use their fire breaths which if its with DnD standards should be really evvective for clearing the zomboes. or using it to light up the fuse on those fireworks kaya ”Borrowed with intention to return eventualy”
No special stats are taken from their hybrid selfs, so no firebreathing in the game xD
Oh my God. I lost it on panel 3. xD CLEO. It doesn’t work that way! You’re here to get money, items, and exp, not give it away! Also you’re the healer. Not the best idea to walk out into the open. Rex may have the better plan here. Let’s just hope Kaya doesn’t cause more collateral damage than intended. We only want the necromancer and zombies pancakeified, (Totally a word.) not the whole party. Keep up the amazing work, Robin, and thank you for taking the time to go through all those old voting incentives. Stay awesome!
You’re welcome Alpha. ^^
Cleo sees it as an investment. Rich people knowing how to get richer in the long-term and stuff like that xD
I see… *Scratches chin in thought.*
Heh, the classic boulder drop. And yes BOULDER DROP. This is Catacombs and Drakes, never mention rocks falling. – Let’s hope it’s not a boulder from the Indiana Jones set. And it seems Kaya’s Demolition Girl title is already paying of. She might be able to destroy anything, but she never said she will hit the right thing.
It seems Cleo is taking her usual ‘diplomatic’ approach. But she should be careful ’cause she doesn’t have unlimited funds in the game. That means even if the necromancer agrees, it will probably trigger the silly long item trade quest (trade A->B->C…Z->Necromancer quest item). Ensue hillarious trading montage.
Cleo: “Before we start our negotions, can you please take of your mask? I think it’s proper etiquette to show your face to your negotion partner.”
*Lizard takes of mask* “That’s only fair”
Cleo: “And can we please sit down? This might take a while and you are so much taller than me that’s hard to talk to you.”
*Lizard sits down on a small boulder*
Cleo: ” What can we offer you for save passage?”
Lizard thinks a moment. “Your shabby party doesn’t have enough money to pay me. I might be willing to let the rest of you pass if one stays behind as live sacrifice.”
Cleo: “No”
Lizard : “How about just a limb?”
Cleo glaring: “No”
Lizard looking at Cleo and Kaya: “Then get get me at least a nice staff. I want one too.”
*Ding* Trading quest has started
Cleo gets up: “Oh, one like this?”
Smacks her staff on the (unprotected) lizard head.
*Ding* Trading quest has been canceled
*Ding* Your party defeated the necromancer.
It’s not just annoyed GMs who use “rocks fall”.
Haha, oh no, let’s not go on the trade chain xD I’ve seen that used so many times already xD
That sounds like a great plan Rex but you might want to move cleo out of the way so she doesnt get hit by the boulder too
*Rex goes over and picks up Cleo and puts her down a few meters away.*
Rex: All set, go ahead Kaya *thumbs up*
Seems safe enough.
What could possibly go wrong?
Bribing is not the worst idea. If your character has the funds to do it, or if the payout is greater, it is worth trying. Usually not so successful on minibosses. Save it for low level mooks and guards.
I love it how Kaya doesn’t even check which boulder before confirming she can blow it up. Though at least she asked for clarification before simply obliterating every boulder in the cave.
As a professional, she has no doubt she can destroy a simple boulder. But as a professional, she also needs to know for sure what she’s about to blow up xD
I actually saw Cleo’s tactic work once. Rather amusing.
They’re unorganized, undisciplined, and have little to no actual communication skill. Yep, this is a party of newbies, or quite possibly veteran gamers. Ironically, the newbie approach is nearly indistinguishable to the veteran approach. It’s an interesting bell curve.
Rex: Hmmm, my previous attempt to smash his face didn’t work so well. Guess I just needed to go bigger! Let’s see him dodge this one!
Kaya : “- I can destroy anything”
On this point , you have our full trust ^_^”
Kaya’s apparently the quickest contractor I’ve ever seen
You should always be proud of your abilities, Kaya, even if those abilities are on the destructive side.
Bribery? OK! I did not see this coming!
Okay, so Kaya just became Megumin. How will showering their foe in gravel help?
Is this eligible for the WEBTOONS competition?
If you increase the update length there and reduce to once or twice a week like the recommendation for entries, this could win.
I bet Kaya will blast the boulder with the fireworks she has tail grabbed earlier ^_^
Kaya, what do you mean, “which boulder?” He said the one over his head!
