I just realized something. The twins are shown as a boy and a girl. However from my tiny understanding of genetics identical twins cannot be two different sexes. In the case that they are they were born from two different eggs. So before i read further into the comic I am going to make some hypo thingy magic. 1. Genetics has changed more than a hybrids 2. that rule doesn’t apply to dragon/reptilian hybrids 3. Chance they both were born dragon hybrids ~ I highly doubt 4. Maybe they are like frogs and can change gender ~ I slighty doubt this, shut up perverted side of brain. 5. Plot magic, cause who fucking cares about the details they are cute adorable dragon twins.
Really shouldn’t of rewatched “My little sister can’t be this cute.”(But but BUT, incest. SHUT UP BRAIN) Read the latest update of a tale of tails. (MY KINGDOM GREETS THE), or finished off professor amazing and the incredible (sexy) fox (lady). I got 1700 others things and “time” ain’t one of them.
Oh, just noticed the “Comics we like” thanks for recommending stuff like that found something I had no seen before “freefall” If I may make a suggestion there is a new comic called out-of-placers. You may or may not enjoy it, one of my friend enjoys savestate/housepets/ they also liked out of placers so thats why.
Maybe they were initially regular dizygotic twins that then got zapped by the same set of magic dragon-genes and thus the two look more identical than dizygotic twins usually do.
As I distinctly recall from my first high-school many years ago, different-gendered twins can still look VERY similar in spite of not technically being “identical twins”.
You’re over thinking this. They’re probably fraternal twins. They might not even look much alike as individuals. That could simply be us having trouble telling dragonkin apart.
Different gender monozygotic identical twins were certainly studied in the 60’s: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC1012913/ (Monozygotic twins of different sex – J H Edwards, T Dent, and J Kahn) so they’re definitely a thing.

Ha!
Some things never change, even if the DNA does. LOL.
Fantastic way of telling us the age of the main characters without breaking the fourth wall or sounding forced!
They should try raw lungs, brains and liver then. Although it’s not like we really know what dragons ate, being mythical animals and all.
According to some legends, they diet consisted mostly of virgins. It’s probably why they went extinct.
Where did the carrots come from? The salad?

“They’re so orange. They can’t be trusted.”

That, and the comic is a couple of years too early.
