…I’m starting to think that meddling in others affairs might not be good for Annabella’s health…
certainly not for her bloodpressure!
She is fine, it is the other peoples health I’m worried about.
How do you make sure your plan goes off without a hitch? Blackmail of course!
OK, I saw that coming, except the last panel.
I guess she is not just nosing into Kai’s date but generally.
Heh, yup!
Annabella, I know you mean well, but please stop trying to interfere, meddle with, lead, or influence Kai’s date.
…You know what, I can’t even get mad at Anabella for this one. Like, how long ago was “that last storm we had” that Antonio’s been putting this off? I understand setting aside your hobbies when something important comes up, but this is putting off something that affects OTHER people, not just yourself.
I think that Antonio may be the type of person who starts things and then never keeps at them. You know the type, is half-decent at fifty different things simply because they picked up a hobby and only kept at it for a month before moving on, but never actually gave any enough time to learn more than the basics.
Being a Geostach Manager is likely one of these, where he didn’t think about hiding the ladder nearby to be the “trick” to opening the Stach, or securing it to the tree to prevent it from breaking. And he was too lazy to bother actually replace the ladder, since his interest in the subject ran out.
Just call me “Iron Antonio!” 🙂
… and undoubtedly agreed to some long and onerous license without reading a word of it, and given the app all the permissions it asked for.
and it’s proprietary!
It’s now fully capable of tracking her every movement, listen to her every word and watch everything through her mobile’s camera…
Now, when she gets off the phone with Antonio, she’s going to get assaulted with adds for bus tours around Italy, local public transport options, news stories about the couple who renovated an old bus & plan to drive it through all Europe, how this airport has a shuttle bus service to the nearest major city, offers for cheap buses for sale nearby….
I’m not allowed to grant any permissions on my mobile phone anymore….
To be fair, GPS tracking app really DOES need to know your location, and even the camera might make sense.
Heh, guess it’s a good thing Annabella is looking out for Kai and Near, for them not her! Don’t blow a gasket so soon Anna, lot of time left in the day yet!
At work. Poem later.
Annabella Romero embodying the hot blooded Italian stereotype, she’s even more fiery than her cousins!
I’m not too surprised about this revelation, though I wonder if Kai suspects that this isn’t a coincidence… I’m guessing Annabella has a history with Antonio, given that she’s on the verge of cussing him out; I wonder how she new Antonio broke that trophy, maybe she was involved. It’s pretty funny that Anna is called a banshee, she must have a pretty loud scream (now we know which side of the family Kaya gets her loudness from). Her angry face is kind of terrifying like one, it feels like her fiery hair is close to turning into actual fire.
Panel 3: Do you think you could add a comma to “up”?
Title text: And also drop an “o”?
That O is a funny thing. One who often loses their temper is said to have a temper, but that sounds illogical. Once you have lost your temper you should logically no longer have a temper. On the other hand, “to loose one’s temper” sounds like it might be an expression for attacking someone, patterned after “loose an arrow” or “loose the dogs”. I can see how it may be easy to get it wrong
(The comma is quite unnecessary as usual.)
You mean panel 5 and no comma is OK. Simple rule I learned: If in doubt, don’t set a comma.
With the title you are correct, ‘loses’ instead of ‘looses’ is right.
Can’t believe I got the panel wrong. I must be slipping.
“- ket case!”
“-set hound…”
…Is “basset hound” a real thing? I thought that was just a telephone-line joke from Madagascar.
DTIBA, you know those small dogs half-length sausage dogs with the REALLY big & floppy ears? White, brown & black, always looks a bit sad due to some skin from their upper jaw drooping down over their lower jaw? That’s a Basset Hound.
If you’ve ever seen Droopy Dog, his character’s based on one, too, though he stands upright & has been toonified.
Yeah Bassett Hounds are a thing, though I misspelt it. In my defence, I was going off 3 already existing letters…

There’s a long-running British newspaper strip called Fred Basset, about a ‘typical’ basset and his suburban owners.

Well, count me one of today’s 10,000. Thanks to Darius and Castigator for the information.
Well, last week I guessed she could have been hiding in the bushes, calling in ladder support while watching from the vegetation….
I also wondered if anyone would remember X said they set something up in the woods and use that info to their advantage…
Was wrong about Annabella watching from a distance, but not her getting the ladder delivered 😋. And while it wasn’t from remembering who declared they set the geocache up, but she did work out who it was and lit a fire under their ass to make it possible to complete….
Annabella Mafiosa
spreading her mighty wings;
commanding obedience
amongst other certain things.
She knows her locals;
she has them all on file…
watch that smile, guys,
it hides a charming Crocodile.
What’s up that tree, then?
What is the geostach?
Will it be easy open
or is Kia going to have to smash?
The last line makes me think there’s going to be a car accident.
Flamin’ autocorrect(!) And, if you don’t believe that, it was near midnight.
You could even call it…autocarwrecked.
Diolch yn fawr iawn.
Annabelle is practicing her “Honey do list” reactions… *clears throat* FIX IT! FIX IT! FIX IT! FIX IT! FIX IT! FIX IT! FIX IT! FIX IT! FIX IT! FIX IT! FIX IT! FIX IT! FIX IT!
