Back seat calling
Kaya got to call Cleo! Yay!
Also, a rare view of Cleo’s home, although it’s only a hearth and the front door. Yes, Cleo has a butler xD

Oooh wait, it’s every year? Guess I missed that on the previous couple comics. I can get why Cleo is uncomfortable with the situation but puts up with it, one’s health is important after all. As far as her jokes go, a good sharp wit can be pretty funny, just don’t aim it at your friends too often!
Last panel of Jesse’s Adventure: Pffft HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! That’s never a comfortable conversation with your parents or guardian!
It’s yearly, but I don’t think I’ve actually mentioned that explicitly before. It’s more fun to piece that together anyway ^^
Kaya didn’t get the clean underwear memo in time, if this goes badly she may have to relocate.
Haha, maybe not relocate, but still xD
She’s a girl, she has clean underwear on ^^
Things are never totally dour
when you have a Butler.
Cleo grins and sparkles here
with a charm that melts butter.
Winding Kaya up for once,
getting her own back at last;
being as funny as her friend,
Cleo’s clearly having a blast.
On their way to their destiny,
consoled by their ‘mean’ friends;
when it comes to the tests,
the timeframe never ends.
I’m more surprised that butler wasn’t even named Alfred let alone Jeeves.
I was going to bring up the name thing but the hover text beat me to it.
I know who Alfred and Jeeves are (though I’ve never read a Jeeves story), but I don’t recall a Sebastian.
I do know of a “Bunter” and “Mr. French” though. 🙂
He’s from a manga/anime called “Black Butler,” which, if you know nothing going into it, you would at first assume was named such simply because he’s wearing black. You would be wrong. So very, very wrong.
Haha, yeah, I didn’t want to go with the ‘butler names’ we all know already :p
Jesse’s Adventure, Panel 2: That first sentence seems awkward.
But do you like it?
You never say…
😛
Seems pretty straightforward to me…?
I’ll review it. It sounded okay to me, but I’ll ask around.
Thanks for pointing it out again ^^
Something makes me to think ……….. If Kaya had phoned earlier to Cleo , there would be a great chance she’s not in the car now XD
Try to relax now , twin kids : you’ll NEED IT later *evil grin*
On the bright side, she can’t fail the test. She didn’t need to study to prepare either.
Too bad she lacks the experience for it.
Nah, she wouldn’t be scared off that easily. Being in your underwear for strangers is just something most people would be nervous about.
On the way to Doc
Kaya’s talking on the phone
While Kai plays his Switch
Kaya’s real nervous
‘Bout going to the doctor
‘Cause she’s never gone
During their phone talk
Cleo breaks it down for her
And gets in a quip
Huh, who’d have thought it?
Cleo cracking a good joke?
Seemed impossible!
Where did the all confident Kaya go? XD
“Your jokes need work.” lol
Heh; yeah. Looks like the joke worked fine from -Cleo’s- viewpoint, judging by the last panel. 😉
Sometimes you wonder how certain people are actually friends
In this case, kaya forced her way in and it all worked out xD
“…it’s only a heart and a front door…” Hahaha! 🙂
(pssst! Kai’s seatbelt!)
Fixed the heart to hearth, and yeah, I totally forgot his seatbelt xD
Will be something to fix later ^^
Of course Cleo has a butler. And no more information needs to be known about him. He s simply a generic Jeeves. 😛
Confidence to spare sounds like a compliment, maybe she sees people using it as an insult too much.
Both Cleo and Benji seem quick to point out that they will be in their underwear, while true, they probably enjoy ribbing the twins.
Oh, they definitely enjoy ribbing the twins sometimes :p
What else are good friends for? xD
Common courtesy or not, it’s still nice to see that Cleo thanks her butler.
Yeah, it’s very considerate of her ^^
Agreed; it’s nice to see that he’s not just another expensive appliance.
I think the “confidence to spare” sounds more like a compliment then a joke. I mean she certainly has it with how she stands up to people, causes trouble, and seems to think it will always work out.
And I know it won’t happen but it would have been hilarious if they get to the doctor’s and are instructed to strip down to their underwear. Then Kaya lifts the color of her shirt, looks down, and says “I knew I forgot something today!”
That would be hilarious xD But I got other things planned :p
I couldn’t help thinking it was on the creepy side myself as well, particularly if they HAVE to go and can’t opt out.
Cleo’s jokes remind me of my own hit and miss jokes when I was still a teen. I just had that sort of tendency with making jokes that were sometimes good, sometimes bad, and some times were sharp as Cleo’s one in this comic.
