Don’t really need to know which Football/Soccer team he follows, Do I?

The white Wolf growls for respect,
a vicious visage in a soft shoe.
Mean, lean, learning to command
and not knowing what to expect.
Taking te reins without a coach,
Judging Juniors by their height,
the White Wolf Warrior sets the level;
heβs the barrier they have to hurdle.
Heβs the challenge to combat
and the hero they have to humble.
He has to be continually convinced
the troublesome two are worth it.
I was going more for alliteration than end rhymes with this one to show the Captain’s power. Letters that sound the same (like the s & s there that sssounds sssslithery) I’m kinda proud of lines 2 & 7.
Aaaand.. you should be! π
Every comic needs its “something something incident” π
Well, it’s a good thing to add some mystery, right? xD
Panel 4: “pipsqueaks”, “send”.
Ain’t certain but maybe.
That could just be how he talks, y’know, Prime m’man? A bit of local talk from where he be coming from?
That reminds me of something I’ve been wondering about: the dragons have a rural upbringing. I wonder if they have a “country” (hillbilly, dixie, etc.) accent.
I believe sent is correct, as it is in simple past (unless I’m really wrong on my grammar)
Thanks for pointing it out though, I do need to change the pipsqueak one.
Actually, send is correct. Sent is past tense and would be used more like, “I sent the letter.” In a question, normally present tense is correct, “Did the teacher send you?” (I’m not too certain of the different tenses but I do know what’s right about 90% of the time.)
Sent is also often used in local vernacular. It’s not 100% accurate according to the dictionaries but I often hear it here. Yer? (pronounced yure and meaning here) The Welsh Valleys where a coat can be a jacket as well. In the same line. “Whose coat’s this Jacket?” The fun of Dialect.
Honestly, “did the teachers send you?” is proper. I do a lot of writing where proper grammar is required, and I can assure you that “send” is the right word in this scenario. Of course, you could easily play it off if he’s simply “talking street.”
That’s a pretty huge captain in the second frame.
For dramatic effect :p
is he a husky or a wolf I can’t tell
oh my god I just notice that he has wolves on his shirt god i’m an idiot
Well, that and the title.
No need to drive home the fact tragrute’s an idiot, Lucario(!)
You’re not, tragrute.
It’s a wolf, and you’re not an idiot, don’t worry ^^
Ok, the twins are 14, this guy is at max 16 as that’s how long hybrids have been around. He is surprisingly tall, but is probably about average for a 16 year old. Kai and Kaya are about a head shorter than their mother Sabrina, and about two heads shorter than their father Marco.
Kai, Kaya, Benji and Cleo are all about the same height (which I assume is for artist convenience), which is probably short, or at least pre growth spurt for 14 year olds, but at least makes them look like children.
Do you have a size chart for the cast? Or set heights, or do you just go with what works?
I do have a size chart, but it’s in messy sketch form :p
The wolf is actually above average height, he’s pretty huge really. Kai and Kaya are about 155 cm (which the internet has led me to believe is around the average height of 14 year olds)
This kinda makes me wonder how some of the hybrids feel about teams, phrases, or objects being named after the animals they are based on. Not all of them are used in a positive way, like rats or cougar.
I guess it’s a sensitive subject for some, but there’s not much they can do about it except educate people of the fact that they find it offensive if they do.
………………I don’t see this going the way they are hoping if they are THAT short compared to every one else o_O
Kai and Benji are actually not so very short, the wolf is just huge. Also, the wolf is 16 while Kai and Benji are 14 so that also makes a difference.
So, it goes without saying that the captain of a basketball team nicknamed the Wolves would be a wolf. LOL.
And a very well-drawn wolf at that! π
Exploding pie incident?
<..>
I maaay or may not have been involved… π
Ohhhhhhhhhhh is THAT what you wanted that for………..errrrrrr might have been my bad to give you the ehhehehehehe yaaaa ok had I known that I wouldn’t given you that mix as it has a bit more kick then the others.
Love the eager faces in the last panel. Eager for two different reasons too! π
I think the incident began with…”I’m gonna huff and puff and blow this pie UP!”
Either that or he tried to do chemistry and home ec class homework at the same time…
Exploding pie? It rhymes with ‘the cake is a lie’.
Also i feel somewhat reminded to the ongoing pastry wielding jokes from the webcomic Erth.
It’s fine , White-Wolf ; we’ve found the responsible for the exploding pie incident :

LOL
WOINES…? Ah, WOLVES! kikiki
Team. It is a basketball team. Clubs are for individual effort like the math club, or chess club. When the chess club send people to a tournament, then that group is the chess team. Sports team.
Exploding pie?!
Looks like an alpha had just entered the gym.
