A hidden ally
Or maybe not xD
Well, this is the end of the first chapter. I hope you all enjoyed it and will follow me into the next one as well!

Wow! Dad’s use the blackmail threat, too? Strange.
I’m reading this in bunches to catch up, but I am totally planning to continue into the next chapter. Thanks!!
By the way; any idea how to make that pop-up tool panel on the left side of the page stop showing up?
I’m glad you like the comic ^^
You mean the social media buttons? Are the in the way on your screen? What device are you using? I might have to look into that if it’s a bother on certain devices.
Covers the left half of the commenters’ avatars and comes exactly to the left edge of the first panel of the comic.
Using a plain ol’ desktop PC with Windows XP and Firefox. It’s not actually a “problem”, just annoying. Thanks, Robin.
Speaking of those social media buttons, you might want to reorient the layout of your cast page. Those buttons cover up the portraits and parts of the bio. I’m using a desktop PC with Win10 and Firefox 52.0.2. I just thought I should post that tidbit here before enjoying the rest of the comic!
I love their family dynamics.
I found out about you due to one of your strips being posted by one “Welsh Rat” over on the Thursday, Oct. 15, 2020 Kevin & Kell strip. I decided to try to figure out as much about the strip in genera from just that one installment (the kids at a doctor’s office) without reading anything else about it including the info on this site, so I posted an analysis in that thread and some other comments relating to it as well. You may be interested in it. Anyway, I started from the beginning, and finished “Chapter 1 — The Beginning” before noon my time. So far it’s outstanding! I’ll probably read a chapter a day when I get a chance. “Welsh Rat” informs me that he did poetry on the strips starting in “Chapter 3 — Snake Oil” and that you then tapped him to do one as the foreword for the first printed collection! Cool!
For fans of this strip, I highly recommend Kevin & Kell, the longest running and oldest continuously running webcomic. Created and drawn by professional cartoonist Bill Holbrook who also does the syndicated strips On the Fastrack and Safe Havens. It’s set in a world of sapient animals where the species traits remain intact including the predator-prey relationship (this two decades before Zootopia). The strip celebrated its 25ᵗʰ “Silver” Anniversary on Sept. 3, having first appeared on that day in 1995, and being published continuously on weekdays for over a year, then on weekends as well including full-sized Sunday strips, ever since, without a hiatus or interruption or missing update. And remember, he does two other daily / Sunday strips as well! And conventions. And side projects involving characters from his various strips including blogs, Twitter feeds, YouTube channels, and Facebook pages done in the personas of characters where readers can interact with them, and where more details about the goings-on in the strips and in the worlds of the strips occur (saying much more here would be a major spoiler).
You may want to add it to your “Comics We Like.”
You all ready wrote an essay
haha!!!
Hey uh who’s the guy with the blonde hair with kai in the first panel?
