Double trouble
And so this chapter ends with both of them in detention.
Now time for a little announcement: I’ll be taking one week break from the comic to catch up with my buffer and to get everything in order for the next chapter. I will post something next week, it just won’t be a comic page. After that it will be smooth sailing for another fun chapter!
As always, if you like the comic, please consider donating on my patreon. Even one dollar goes a long way.
Here she comes, a happy Kaya,
Getting punished for the right reason.
After-school games just took a flyer
For a good portion of the season.
Cleo’s curious for her friend
But truly happy to have one;
Continuing the alliance will depend
On if they now start to have fun.
She’s known Kaya one day,
Lost bullies and gained detention.
Now we may see them at play
And that’s the key to retention.
Great start to their friendship 😛
They will remember this for years to come :p
they sure will.
Yeah, won’t be so happy when she finds out the other girls got detention as well.
It’ll be a battlefield :p
You’re joking right? Were you ever bullied?
I’ve never seen a bully get detention.
Why is Cleo holding her hands like that in the last panel?
Look where they are in the previous panel.. Fifth panel positioning is due to Kaya’s surprise announcement that Cleo also got detention. 🙂 (and it’s amusing how much Kaya is enjoying the idea of being punished, which just makes Cleo’s shock even worse! :-))
It’s not that she likes the punishment, it’s that Kaya sees the good in it instead of being moody about it.
Iron Ed explained it quite well. Her arms are going up in shock and her hands haven’t caught up yet :p
Well that’s an interesting second day to school also Mystic Scribbles if you see this comment I found your f-list and send a friend request
Imagine if it was the first day. Fastest detention ever xD
Bad news, Cleo… Your new bestie is overwhelmingly optimist! 😀
Cleo could stand to have some optimism in her life xD
Kaya’s expression in the first panel. Nothing good ever comes of such an expression. Ever.
But it’s such a fun expression to use xD
ROFLOL.
Ok, why is Cleo in detention as well? As far as I can see she was not involved in any of the fighting. Seems kinda over the top to punish her as well.
I think we only saw the beginning of the fight, not everything that happened.
More fighting happened and she got involved a little as well. Also, schools tend to punish everyone even slightly involved (in my experience)
I once got detention for getting punched.
now THAT is injustice. Sadly, I wouldn’t be surprised if this happens often.
I can imagine the flawed reasoning right now; How dare you bodyslam that guy’s fist! Detention!
These are the same school staff who do things like this.

@Autistic Observer
Because fighting is bad! And we have to punish absolutely anybody related to it. Obviously.
School systems do NOT do logic well.
Kaya’s optimism cannot be contained! XD
It’s nice to see that she stays cheery no matter what situation.
Also, Cleo in the last panel is definitely lol worthy.
And thus ends chapter 3.
YES KAYA
