The testing, for now, is done
but new tests rise forever.
The feeling of cogito ergo sum
is really rather clever.
Therapists help where needed;
working through our thought.
Where little ideas are seeded
and feelings are overwrought.
Misha’s a patient friend,
with really quite a shout.
But help will depend
on what ‘mom’ helps her find out.
I’m just going to make a habit of saying this from now on in response to each of your poems:
Diolche.
Dagnabbit, a typo. I meant, Diolch.
You’re welcome.
It’s fun seeing character interactions
She’s got an impressive high score?
I’m surprised Misha plays games on her phone, she doesn’t seem to be the most technologically inclined. In an official story I read by one of her creators LordTylus, she didn’t know what a vacuum cleaner was at first and it led to a hilarious part where she vacuumed her ear by accident! I wonder if the little fairy in her game reminds her of Kaya…
I wonder if Misha will talk to Sabrina about meeting her children and befriending them… Sabrina may apologize for their (Kaya’s) behavior. It’s great to see Misha receiving help, I speak from experience when I say that professional help can make a difference and makes your problems feel less stressful. Misha is a wonderful girl and she deserves to be happy!
“Impressive” as in “among its playerbase”, or “impressive” as in “she has a score higher than 2”? Because what’s considered high among to someone who’s played it once and knows the game is an exercise in frustration… is probably different from what’s considered high among people who actually enjoy the game.
If she had been a little bit technologically inclined, she might have known how to mute her device to avoid annoying everyone in the room.
If I read the screen correctly, her impressive score is 33.
I’m not familiar with that game, but I haven’t played any game where 33 is an impressive score past a score of around 2 myself. I do not remember the details, but I do recall having played one game for a few hours only to be rewarded with a score of 1. I quit immediately.
First of all, Flappy Bird and all of its clones are an exercise in frustration. For a layperson, 33 is absolutely impressive.
Secondly, playing a game for hours and getting a score of 1… sounds like Desert Bus.
Panels two and four: I like seeing Misha’s postures and expressions. And in the last panel, I like the contents of the shelves at right; lots of little things to help younger visitors relax. 🙂
Lol if i tried playing this, my phone would probably flappy right out the window.
Sorry, this was supposed to go on DTIBA’s comment below 😅
A game that combines the frustrating gameplay of Flappy Bird with the annoying voice clips of Navi? Was someone trying to come up with the most bull$#!+ game possible?
If so, they clearly never heard of Tombs & Treasure.
Disclaimer: I don’t actually find Navi all that annoying in Ocarina of Time itself. It’s when people play her voice non-stop that it gets grating. And I can think of no situation where adding her voice clips to a Flappy Bird clone would not qualify as “non-stop”.
It’s fun to rip on Navi, but back then, 3D games were pretty new and people needed a lot of help to play them. Nowadays we’re more aware of how to communicate information to the player naturally without bugging them, but a “too helpful” character like Navi was necessary to get us to that point. You don’t know where the line is until you cross it.
“……..Oh, by the way, I met your kids. Kai and Kaya, Dragon Hybrids? Yeah, Kaya decided I was her friend now, and Kai kinda came as part of the package apparently…”
“Oh, wow, really? Um…”
*Starts going through appointment bookings…*
“I can fit you in for extra sessions on either Wednesdays or Fridays…”
😜🤣
🙂
i can see how this might end up being a conflict of interest thing legally speaking, depending on what the laws are like in this universe.
Not really, as long as discretion is maintained. Confidentiality laws are pretty clear. I mean doctors can talk about a clinical case as long as they omit any details which identify the patient.
Just want to comment on the art real quick; I know we’ve seen the twin’s mom before, but you’ve drawn her in such a way that you can literally see the family resemblance with the twins. I know they’re different colours, but I think it’s the eyes. They look like Kaya’s.
