Happy New Year, everybody!!!
Reservations at a library? 0.o Huh.
Let’s see what Misha has planned. You know, now they’re friends and all.
Please be a secret passage, please be a secret passage!
That would be cool and all but since Misha works at the library it’s probably more like she has access to the break room or something along those lines.
Aye, that’s much more likely. But come on, a secret passage behind the bookcase? Classic trope, and I could see it happen in a library this huge. Alas, another week before we know for sure.
Happy New Year, all…and of note, the Year of the Dragon.
Misha: “This library is built on top of an ancient monastery, and there is an empty cell available. If that doesn’t work out, (sigh) there’s always the dungeon beneath that.”
*raises Kirk-ish finger* Excuse me! What did monks need with a dungeon?
Breaking the rules for a cause?
There’s dignity behind these puppy paws;
Misha leads the way to hope.
A Kaya conundrum with which she can cope.
Will her noise abate in silence?
(Did I really just write that sentence?)
Kaya is never the quiet type.
For proof, see her videos; judge her own hype.
Misha explains it so well,
how too many can make a library hell
and how prior planning entails
striking early so that your main plan prevails.
First comic of 2024 on the first day of 2024!
Looks like the twins barely avoided a bout of bad luck. I wonder why so many kids are studying in this library at once… Well, they were studying, until Kaya had two loud outbursts in a row. Misha has now admitted that Kai and Kaya are her friends, Kaya cannot let the fluffy doggy ever live this down. Best get the rambunctious Italian Dragon girl somewhere she won’t cause anymore chaos.
Italians are amongst the peoples who speak with their hands, Kaya speaks with her whole body. At least this suggestion isn’t as bad as Kaya’s other not allowed ones…
At first glance, panel 1 makes it look like Kaya’s turned into a giant.
Awww, “We’re friends now” -> once Kaya internalizes that they are gonna kick her out for squeeeeing.
And/or for squeezing Misha to the point the poor spaniel girl squeaks like a chew toy.
Panel 2: Add commas to the second “that” and “year”. Speaking of, Happy New Year!
There’s two ways to say that line. One with pauses and one without
Strictly speaking it’s optional. But I’d agree with you on this one, nine times out of ten.
I’d call this the tenth one, but, yeah, it works either way. 🙂
Can we just talk about how Kaya does the Italian “Hands” in panel 4?
To The Bookmobile!
🙂
5 minutes in and she is already being a bad influence on the pup 😂
Aaahhh, Nepotism.
“Imagine everyone studying wherever they wanted. People would trip over students just trying to get a book.”
Is… that not normal for a library? Because I feel like that’s normal for a library.
Not normal for the average library, unless someone’s being a twit. 😉
Bit of a logic jump, going from, “We’ll just sit somewhere else in the library,” to “everyone just sits where they want.”
I assume Kaya meant trying to find a chair somewhere else; not just sitting on the floor in some random spot between shelves. Misha has a valid point, though, because of course some people would sit on the floor like that. Still, I think Kaya meant going to find another table/chairs in a less crowded section.
Also, there has to be some noise here. I know it’s a library, but there would still be the sounds from over a hundred pencils taking notes, and hundreds of book pages turning intermittently. And maybe a handful of people quietly mumbling to themselves as they read. All that would certainly make a level of background noise.
Her Italian is showing.
